www.uaeneurology.com/brainconference2022 #ADBC2022 ABU DHABI H Y B R I D 2nd Prof. Christian Lampl is currently Head of the Department of Neurology at the Konventhospital Barmherzige Brüder Linz, Director of the Headache Medical Center Linz and Chair of the Center of Integrative Medicine for Elderly at the Ordensklinikum Linz. Prof. Lampl received his doctorate at the University of Innsbruck in 1990. Between 1998 and 2005 he was a Senior Physician at the Neurological and Psychiatric Department of the General Hospital in Linz. Prof. Lampl is current President of the EHF. Prof. Lampl is a fellow of five professional societies. Prof. Lampl’s research is focused on: epidemiology and burden of headache, migraine aura as a possible risk factor for migraine headache; neuropathic pain and dementia with focus on elderly people. He has published numerous articles on headache and neuropathic pain. In addition, he has contributed to several book chapters. Prof. Lampl is also an Ad Hoc reviewer for journals such as Cephalalgia, JHP, Headache, Clin J Pain, J Neurol and Eur J Neurology. Dr. David Williams is currently an Assistant Professor and Consultant Neurologist at the UAEU. His undergraduate training was at King’s College School of Medicine and Dentistry, London and he obtained his PhD in Neuroscience at the Institute of Neurology, University College London. He undertook dual clinical and academic training as a Walport Clinical Lecturer at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. He has a specialist interest in the Patho physiology of Movement Disorders and he was involved in early work considering the Oscillato ry Pathophysiology of Parkinson’s Disease. Hehasanongoing interest in the roleof basal gangliadysfunction in neurological diseases. Dr. Deeb Kayed is an American Board Certified Neurologist (1997) and Clinical Neurophysiologist (1999) with a particular interest in headaches. Dr. Kayed graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 1986. He then graduated from StGeorge’sUniversitySchool ofMedicine in 1990.HecompletedhisresidencytraininginAdultNeurology at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, USA in 1996 where he also served as Chief Resident. He next completed aFellowship inClinicalNeurophysiologyatHahnemannUniversityHospital inPhiladel phia in 1997 followed by a Fellowship in Advanced Clinical Neurology - Child Neurology at Jeffer son University Hospital, Philadelphia in 1998. Dr Kayed relocated to the UAE in 2000 and served as a Consultant Neurologist at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain where he was also Head of the Division of Neurology. At the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, UAE University, Dr. Kayed served as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Kayed relocated to Dubai in 2005 where he has been working in private practice. He is an Assistant Professor at the MBRU School of Medicine. His practice is currently located at The Integrated Rheumatology & Arthritis Centre in Dubai Health Care City. He is an Independent Doctor, Consultant Neurologist, at The Mediclinic City Hospital Dubai in Dubai Health Care City. Dr Kayed’s primary interest is in the management of patients with headaches, in particular migraine. Prior to moving to Dubai he was Professor of Neurology and Chairman of the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark and was Associate Professor of Neurology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for 10 years until 2008. He continues to hold an Adjunct Professorship at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Dr. Krieger studied in Germany and then undertook his Fellowship in Neurocritical Care from Tufts University in Boston, USA. He held several academic positions at UT Houston and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio. He is a Fellow of the European Stroke Organization and a Fellow of the American Heart Association and remains actively involved in clinical research and teaching.
