Dr. Abdulwahab Roman is a Consultant Neurologist, Neurophysiologist, and Epileptologist at Mediclinic City Hospital. He is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU).

Dr. Roman previously worked as a senior consultant neurologist, Head of the EEG video monitoring unit, and Deputy Head of the Vogtareuth Epilepsy Center in Germany until June 2021.

Additionally, Dr. Roman served as the Head of the Multiple Sclerosis program and Clinical Supervisor of the Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) laboratory at Schoen Hospital Groupe in Bavaria, Germany, until his relocation to the UAE in 2021.

With seven years of dedicated work at the certified Vogtareuth Pain Center in Germany, Dr. Roman possesses expertise in diagnosing and treating various pain disorders, including headaches, backaches, and peripheral pain disorders.

Dr. Roman has received numerous prestigious certifications and qualifications in Germany, specializing in neurology, neurophysiology, epilepsy, CSF analysis and ultrasound.

Dr. Abu Baker Al Madani completed his undergraduate certificate in 1997 from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. In Gothernburg University, he was involved in teaching and contributed in research study with Dr. Anders Hamberger in neuroprotective agents in acute stroke. Then, he completed his Canadian Royal College in Neurology (FRCPC) in 2009.

Dr. Madani had his residency at the University of Toronto which is ranked number 1 in Canada by Royal College of Canada, and ranked number 4 in the whole North America by American Academy of Neurology. He was personally involved in regional stroke program and he was involved in at least 500 stroke cases and 80 TPA cases. In his residency he also did one whole elective year which involves EEG, research, pathology and nerve conduction studies. By finishing the residency, he was able to manage neurological cases as general neurological cases as general neurologist in 2007. He has his fellowship in neuromuscular subspecialty from 2007 to 2009.

Dr. Terruzzi is currently the Head of Neurology Department at Mediclinic City Hospital, and Clinical Lead and Head of Mediclinic Comprehensive Stroke Center at City Hospital, in Dubai (UAE). Dr. Terruzzi graduated from, and underwent Specialist training in Neurology, at the University of Medicine and Surgery of MilanoBicocca in Italy, where he also obtained a 2nd level Master Degree in Cerebrovascular Diseases. He was working at the Neuroscience Department of Manzoni Hospital as a Stroke Neurologist, where he was the former Director of the Headache Center, before moving to Dubai in 2017 as Consultant Neurologist. He is also a well trained Neuro-sonologist, expert in ultrasound doppler investigation of the carotid and vertebral arteries and transcranial eco-colour doppler. Since 2019 he collaborates with the Mohamed Bin Rashid University as Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor. Dr. Terruzzi’s primary interests are the diagnosis and treatment of headaches and cerebrovascular disorders.

After graduation from Assiut University in South Egypt, he had his further training in the residency program in the university hospitals which has more than 2000 beds and a highly advanced neurology department. He completed his master degree in neuroscience in 2003 and Medical Doctorate in neurology from Al-Azhar University in 2010. (1999- 2005). Dr. Halprashanth worked as a Consultant Neurologist at Hassan’s SSM Multispecialty Hospital (2011-2012). Along with his general neurology practice, Dr. Halprashanth subspecializes in stroke neurology. He was the Head of Gleneagles Global Health City’s comprehensive stroke team. Over 1000 acute ischemic strokes have been treated under his leadership, 15% of them thrombolysis. His extensive stroke management experience has established him as one of India’s leading Stroke Neurologists. His team holds one of the fastest door-to-needle times (14 minutes) globally for stroke thrombolysis, comparable to the world’s best stroke centers. Dr. Halprashanth is also the Founder of the Tamil Nadu-based First Stroke Support Group, which offers comprehensive stroke care to stroke survivors. This support group has reintegrated numerous stroke survivors into society and helped them reclaim their livelihoods. Additionally, he is an expert in Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. He has managed a wide variety of Parkinson’s disease patients and founded the Parkinson’s patient support group. He has led the deep brain stimulation team and has a record of successfully managing patients with refractory Parkinson’s disease using DBS. He was a co-investigator on the ATTEND trial in India, which examined family-based rehabilitation following a stroke. He has published numerous articles in prestigious international journals, including the prestigious medical journal Lancet. Additionally, he is interested in migraine, epilepsy, dementia, and neuromuscular disorders. Additionally, he is a Member of the World Stroke Organization, the American Academy of Neurology, the International Society for Movement Disorders, and the Indian Academy of Neurology.

Prof. Jihad Inshasi is a Consultant Neurologist at Rashid Hospital, Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and a Professor of Neurology at Dubai Medical College (DMC/DHA). He developed and currently directs the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic and established the Dystonia Clinic at Rashid Hospital/DHA. Prof. Inshasi is the Head of the Scientific Committee and a Founding and Board Member of the Emirates Neurology Society (EMINS/EMA). With the EMINS Board Members, he has organized numerous neurology meetings, particularly in the field of multiple sclerosis. He is founding and executive board member of the MENACTRIMS. He is also a Founding Member, and ex-President of the Emirates League against Epilepsy (ILAE). Prof. Inshasi has authored and co-authored many scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He has participated as principle and leading investigator in phase 2, 3 & 4 drug trials and has conducted an array of research projects in the field of multiple sclerosis. Prof. Inshasi is a member of several local, regional and international associations, societies and advisory boards committees. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN) and a Fellow of the European Academy of neurology (FEAN).

Dr. Taleb Almansoori is a graduate of the College of Medicine and Health Science at the United Arab Emirates University. After graduation, he completed five years of postgraduate medical training at McGill University, Montreal – Canada culminating in board certification in Diagnostic Radiology, followed by completion of a subspecialty training in Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at Ottawa University, Ottawa – Canada. Given his academic post as an Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences of the United Arab Emirates University, Dr. Almansoori is heavily involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and participated in many regional and international meetings. Dr. Almansoori served in multiple roles within the scope of imaging services and provided radiological subject matter expertise for different organizations across the United Arab Emirates. He has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and a book entitled Advanced Neuroradiology Cases: Challenge Your Knowledge. He has given multiple invited lectures at regional and international meetings on neuroradiology and stroke management. Currently, Dr. Almansoori is the Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at the College of Medicine and Health Science.
