ABUBAKER ALMADANI<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"ekit-team-modal-position\"><\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ekit-team-modal-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr. Abubaker Almadani completed his undergraduate certificate in 1997 from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. In Gothernburg University, he was involved in teaching and contributed in research study with Dr. Anders Hamberger in neuroprotective agents in acute stroke. Then, he completed his Canadian Royal College in Neurology (FRCPC) in 2009.\n\nDr. Madani had his residency at the University of Toronto which is ranked number 1 in Canada by Royal College of Canada, and ranked number 4 in the whole North America by American Academy of Neurology. He was personally involved in regional stroke program and he was involved in at least 500 stroke cases and 80 TPA cases. In his residency he also did one whole elective year which involves EEG, research, pathology and nerve conduction studies. By finishing the residency, he was able to manage neurological cases as general neurological cases as general neurologist in 2007. AHMED SHATILA<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"ekit-team-modal-position\"><\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ekit-team-modal-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr. Ahmed Osman Shatila obtained his BSc in Science Biology from the Wayne State University in the United States. ALI MOHAMED HASSAN<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"ekit-team-modal-position\"><\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ekit-team-modal-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr. Ali Hassan is a Consultant Neurologist and Chief of the Neurology Division at STMC and Tawam Hospitals in Al Ain, UAE. He completed his MD in neurology from Al Azhar University, with specialized training in epilepsy and EEG from Case Western Reserve University, USA. He led the development of accredited stroke centers and founded key neurology conferences in the region. With over 40 publications, he is active in international research and guideline development. Prior to moving to Abu Dhabi, Dr. Harb worked for 15 years as a consultant neurologist in the main hospitals of Lebanon, He was also an associate professor in the Faculty of Public health in the Lebanese University for more than 16 years. He then went on to do a two year internship with the King Hussein Medical Center and Ministry of Health. He subsequently received the certificate of complete training in Neurology and the certificate of higher speciality in medicine with specialization in Neurology.\n\nFollowing this, he became a professor and research assistant in the Neuroscience department at King Abdullah University Hospital, College of Medicine of Jordan University of Science and Technology. He is a board certified adult neurologist by the Jordanian Medical Council and a board certified adult neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist. His clinical practice is based at the Tawam hospital, the regional stroke center of Alain city in UAE. Following completion of his medical school training at UAE University he travelled to Montreal, Canada where he completed Adult Neurology residency training at McGill University (2016). He later also completed Acute stroke clinical training (2017) and Stroke-Net Fellowships (2018) at the University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis, United States. Dr. Alkuwaiti is an active member in local stroke committees, including the Department of Health stroke committee and at SEHA Stroke Task force committee. He Chairs the National Institute of Health Subspeciality (Emirates board) Neurology Committee. He is interested in secondary prevention and acute Stroke research. He graduated from Khartoum University in Sudan and completed his residency and neurology training in the UK, where he practiced in several teaching hospitals. He holds an MBBS, MRCP, FRCP (London), and CCST in Neurology. Dr. El Lahawi has a special interest in epilepsy, headache, and central nervous system infections. Since moving to SKMC in 2017 as a Consultant Neurologist, he has served as Division Chief of Adult Neurology Services from 2019 to 2025. Throughout his career, he has contributed to numerous audits, reviews, publications, and drug trials, and has presented on various platforms at both local and international conferences. His contributions have been recognized with several accolades, including being named Seha Audit Hero in 2024 and receiving the Royal College of Physicians (London) Award for Education, Training, and Medical Professionalism in 2025. NADER HEBELA<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"ekit-team-modal-position\"><\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"ekit-team-modal-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDr. Nader Hebela, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, who specializes in spinal surgery with a focus on adult degenerative disease and spinal tumor surgery.\n\nDr. Hebela received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US, where he also completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery. He completed his fellowship in Spine Reconstructive Surgery at the St. Joseph Medical Center Scoliosis and Spine Center, Towson, Maryland, US. \n\nPrior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Hebela was an attending surgeon at the University of Pennsylvania School of medicine &amp;  served as Staff Spine Surgeon at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he oversaw the Spine Surgery Program for southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, encompassing four local Veterans Affairs hospitals. \n\nHe collaborated on developing a sciatic nerve injury model with faculty from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering. His peer-reviewed publications support his broader interests in clinical, basic science and translational medicine and spinal surgery.\n\nDr. Hebela works with various charities and medical relief organizations, performing both spinal reconstructive, as well as orthopedic trauma surgery. He has volunteered in South Africa, Cambodia, Afghanistan and Gaza.  Dr. Hebela lives in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Riachi was previously Tenured Full Professor and Chair of Department of Neurology at the Lebanese American University and Assistant Dean for Clinical Research at LAU School of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon.\n\nAfter a 4 years Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, he completed his Residency in Neurology at the University Hospitals of Cleveland, then a two-year Fellowship in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology at the Cleveland Clinics Foundation. He then completed a fellowship in \nCerebrovascular disease and Stroke at Montreal General Hospital, Canada. he currently serves as a head of Stroke Center at Rashid Hospital, Dubai. <br><br>\nDr. Alrukn\u2019 s field of interest are principally directed towards the acute stroke management, stroke unit establishing and post stroke rehabilitation. He established the 1st certified stroke unit in UAE. Dr. Al rukn is a local and international speakers in stroke field, and had many publications in this area. Currently he is the President of MENA Stroke Organization. \nIn 2019, Dr. Alrukn became the President of World Congress of Neurology, and is the currently the President of  Emirates Neurology Society. <br><br>\nDr. Alrukn is the Founder and the chairman of the Neurology Residency Program in Dubai, since 2013. AHMED SHATILA Dr. Ahmed Osman Shatila obtained his BSc in Science Biology from the Wayne State University in the United States. He continued his medical education from the medical college of Wayne State University. Dr. Shatila\u2019s conducted a residency in neurology at Wayne State University and continued his fellowship in neurophysiology.
