\"\"<\/a>Dr. Ahmed Osman Shatila obtained his BSc in Science Biology from the Wayne State University in the United States. He continued his medical education from the medical college of Wayne State University.<\/p>

Dr. Shatila\u2019s conducted a residency in neurology at Wayne State University and continued his fellowship in neurophysiology.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a>Dr. Quateen developed his expertise in interventional Neuroradiology throughout his career, which spans more than 10 years. He has taken a special interest in diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology. Dr. Quateen is well-trained in the subspecialties of interventional neuroradiology and interventional vascular radiology. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological conditions and the use of clinical imaging to conduct vascular procedures. Dr. Quateen is also a keen educator and has published several research papers. Dr. Quateen received his MBBCh degree from Tripoli University. He became a Canadian Board Certified Diagnostic radiologist. In addition, Dr. Quateen is also a fellow of the prestigious Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He also holds three fellowships in interventional vascular radiology, interventional neuroradiology, and neuroradiology. \"\"<\/a>Dr. Alfonso Fasano holds the Chair in Neuromodulation and Multi-Disciplinary Care at the University of Toronto and University Health Network. He is a Professor in the Department of Medicine (Division of Neurology) at the University of Toronto. He is staff neurologist and co-director of the Surgical Program for Movement Disorders at Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network. He is also staff neurologist at the Hospital of Sick Children in Toronto. Dr. Fasano is a Clinician Investigator at the Krembil Research Institute and Affiliate Scientist at KITE Research Institute \u2013 Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Fasano leads the Core E (closed-loop capabilities) of the CenteR for Advancing Neurotechnological Innovation to Application (CRANIA) and serves on the scientific advisory board of the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation and International Essential Tremor Foundation. He is the chair of the Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus study group of and member of the study group on tremor of the International Parkinson Movement Disorders Society; he is also a member of the Tremor Research Group and the Parkinson Study Group.<\/p>

Dr. Fasano received his medical degree from the Catholic University of Rome, Italy, in 2002 and became a neurologist in 2007. After a two-year fellowship at the University of Kiel, Germany, he completed a PhD in neuroscience at the Catholic University of Rome. His main areas of interest are the treatment of movement disorders with advanced technology (infusion pumps and neuromodulation), pathophysiology, and treatment of tremor and gait disorders. He has authored more than 300 scientific papers and book chapters. Dr. Fasano is the co-editor of the section \u201cGaps and Controversies\u201d of Movement Disorders Journal and an editorial board member of Annals of Neurology, Movement Disorders Journal, Movement Disorders Clinical Practice and Parkinsonism and Related Disorders. \"\"<\/a>Dr. Bassem Yammout is currently Professor of Neurology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center and director of the Neurology Institute at Harley Street Medical Center in Abu Dhabi. He graduated from medical school at AUB in 1984, received his training in neurology at the University of Cincinnati-Ohio in the USA, and followed by a fellowship at the Montreal Neurological Institute-McGill University in Canada. He received his American Board in Neurology and joined the faculty at the American University of Beirut in 1988. He is currently head of clinical research at the Multiple Sclerosis Center, president of MENACTRIMS (Middle East North Africa Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis), member of the MSIF (Multiple Sclerosis International Federation) Scientific Advisory Board, and fellow of the American Academy of Neurology.<\/p>

Dr. Yammout is one of the leading experts on multiple sclerosis in the Middle East with recent research on epidemiology of the disease in the region, quality of life of patients in the Middle East. In addition, he is currently the principal investigator on several ongoing international multiple sclerosis research trials. \"\"<\/a>Dr. Gottschalk received his MD from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed residency at the Neurological Institute of NY. He was then a research fellow at the Substance Abuse Research Center of the New York State Psychiatric Institute studying the neurobiology of cocaine abuse using functional brain imaging. He began his career in Headache Medicine as a fellow of the Montefiore Headache Unit, training under Drs. Richard Lipton, Seymour Solomon, and Lawrence Newman. After full-time clinical practice as a General Neurologist from 2001-2009, he returned to Yale as full-time clinical faculty in Neurology. He was UCNS board-certified in Headache Medicine in 2012 and was made Fellow, AHS, in 2014.<\/p>

Dr. Gottschalk is currently director of the Yale Headache & Facial Pain program and Chief of the section of General Neurology. This program provides training to medical students and residents in Neurology as well as Primary Care. As Director of the Headache Medicine fellowship program he supervises trainees who have chosen a career in this field. He is active in curriculum development at the American Headache Society (AHS), working to establish milestones for Headache Medicine knowledge and practice over the full range of medical education programs. He is a member of the AHS Ethics Committee and of the UCNS Certification Exam Liaison Committee.
In 2020, Dr. Gottschalk was elected President of the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy (AHDA), an organization that lobbies Congress to address barriers to appropriate care and funding for research of headache disorders. Given that migraine is the #1 cause of disability in women age 19-49 and the second leading cause of disability of all disorders worldwide, the lack of funding for training in this field and research into new remedies should be considered a public health emergency.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a>Dr. Deeb Kayed is an American Board Certified Neurologist (1997) and Clinical Neurophysiologist (1999) with a particular interest in headaches. <\/p>

Dr. Kayed graduated magna cum laude from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1986. He then graduated from St George’s University School of Medicine in 1990.<\/p>

He completed his residency training in Adult Neurology at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, USA in 1996 where he also served as Chief Resident. He next completed a Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia in 1997 followed by a Fellowship in Advanced Clinical Neurology – Child Neurology at Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia in 1998.<\/p>

Dr Kayed relocated to The UAE in 2000 and served as a Consultant Neurologist at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain where he was also Head of the Division of Neurology. At the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, UAE University, Dr. Kayed served as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor.<\/p>

Dr.Kayed relocated to Dubai in 2005 where he has been working in private practice. He is an Assistant Professor at the MBRU School of Medicine. His practice is currently located at The Integrated Rheumatology & Arthritis Centre in Dubai Health Care City. He is an Independent Doctor, Consultant Neurologist, at The Mediclinic City Hospital Dubai in Dubai Health Care City. He is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Medicine. His primary practice focus is in the management of migraine headaches. Dr. Finkelstein has sat on regional and national advisory boards to guide migraine care and treatment in Canada. He now serves as co-chair of the steering committee of MAGNIMS, is a member of the International Progressive MS Alliance (Enhancing Wellbeing Implementation Planning Team) and of the Medical Advisory Committee of MS Spain (EME), and served as treasurer in the executive board of RIMS (2014-2020).
