Dr. Abdulla Al Kuwaiti graduated from UAE university medical college and health science in 2009, and was thrilled about neuroscience. In 2010 he joined McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and had extensive work experience with pioneers in neurology and epilepsy. Dr. Abdulla has successfully completed his neurology residency, and followed by an Epilepsy fellowship, with a special interest in Magnetoencephalography (MEG) technology in Montreal Neurological institute and hospital, and other affiliated hospitals. Currently, he is a consultant Neurologist at Tawam hospital and in his first year after returning from Canada, he has upgraded the EEG service to a fully digital network. First in Tawam Hospital to use Ictal and interictal SPECT for frontal lobe seizure patients.

Dr. Abdulla’s clinical interest equals his interest in educating and training the new generation of physicians, being involved in final year medical education teaching when he was in Canada and currently in UAE. Dr. Abdulla has presented multiple talks at conferences and annual meetings, on topics including; headache and epilepsy, super refractory status epilepticus, and neurological complications of bariatric surgery. In addition, he has run an EEG (electroencephalogram) workshop at the first Abu Dhabi brain conference Sept 2021. Dr. Abdulla was involved in multiple research projects in Canada and UAE, and published several papers and presented posters at neurological conferences.

Dr. Ali Hassan Is a consultant and chief of neurology division of Tawam and STMC hospitals. After getting is MBBCH from Assiut university and has a 4-year Residency of neurology and psychiatry Assiut university hospital 1999-2003 ended by getting his master degree. He had his training in one of the biggest neurology divisions in Egypt and middle east when the neurology department had more than 120 beds during his training and had attached neurophysiology lab and all dictated neuroimaging service were available. And he completed his Medical Doctorate degree from Al Azahar university in 2010 (Role if inflammatory markers in Acute ischemic stroke when he was looking for the role of interleukins and neopterin in acute ischemic stroke pathogenesis). He joined Al Ain hospital in 2011 when he was a member of the stroke program who led the stroke service in Al Ain service to be one of the most important stroke centers in UAE, (Al Ain stroke unite is the first stroke unit founded in all over UAE in November 2007). 
Dr Ali was a member of the stroke team who getting the first Stroke international certification in Abu Dhabi in 2016 when, Al Ain stroke unit was certified by German Stroke association as a comprehensive stroke unit and then followed by JCIA. 
Dr Ali Joined Tawam hospital in the last quarter of 2017 when he continued his journey of success and attributed to the success of neurology division. 
He established the first dictated botox clinics in all SEHA facilities and currently he had 2 dictated botox clinic weekly which is the busiest therapeutic botox clinic in UAE currently. 
He developed the stroke program with the team after Al Ain hospital was announced as a covid center in 2020. He became a chief of service in 2021 and he developed the stroke program which has been accredited as comprehensive stroke center from American heart association (AHA) in December 2023.
Dr Ali Hassan initiated and conducted the first Tawam international neurology conference in 2023. He is a speaker and chairpersons in many of the local and regional conferences in Gulf.
Dr Ali Hassan is the president and he initiated Al Ain neurology conference with its first session in January 2024
Dr Ali Hassan has a special training in epilepsy and EEG in Cleveland medical university hospital-Case Western university –Ohio, USA.
Since he joined and lead the neurology division, neurology department become a site of many regional studies and currently he is a part of 3 international studies which included other sites like USA, Europe and Japan. He has more than 35 publications include many posters in an international conference, local conferences, and many publications in the international recognized peer review journals as well.
Dr Hassan is a trainer in many local and regional conferences for botox injections and he led many workshops for training other neurologist in the region.
Dr Hassan awarded as the best faculty of internal medicine teaching staff in 2023. Also, he awarded as a quality champion in 2023 in Tawam hospital.

Dr. Adnan Mohamad Jalkhi is a specialist neurologist with a unique background, being of Russian-Syrian nationality. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Aleppo University in 1978 and went on to earn his PhD in Neurology from Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 1996.

From 1996 to 2012, Dr. Jalkhi served as an Associate Professor at the Medical Faculty of Aleppo University, where he contributed to the education and training of future medical professionals. Since 2013, he has been practicing as a neurologist at Alnoor and Mediclinic Hospitals.

Dr. Jalkhi has a keen interest in neurovascular diseases, headaches, dizziness, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and various other neurological conditions. Dr. Ahmed Daabis graduated in 2006 from Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine and started his residency in Neurology in 2008 at Damanhour Medical Institute in Egypt. He then joined the higher committee of medical specialties for the Egyptian Board. He finished five years of training at Alexandria University Hospital and then worked as Neurology Specialist at Cairo University Hospital and As-Salam International Hospital in Egypt. He was also a Neurology Senior Registrar at King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Ahmed is a highly skilled physician responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient neurological care by examining, diagnosing, and treating nervous system disorders. Dr. Ahmed Samir is a highly experienced neurologist with over 12 years of practice in Egypt, Kuwait, and now in UAE. He holds an MBBCH degree and a Master's degree in Neurology. With a specialization in diagnosing and treating neurological disorders , Dr. Samir  has gained 6 years of valuable experience in managing MS patients. Dr. Ahmed Osman Shatila obtained his BSc in Science Biology from the Wayne State University in the United States. He continued his medical education from the medical college of Wayne State University. 
Dr. Shatila’s conducted a residency in neurology at Wayne State University and continued his fellowship in neurophysiology. 
His interests include inpatient Neurology, but not limited to Stroke, IV TPA program development, Status Epilepticus, Multiple Sclerosis, Public Awareness of different Neurological Diseases with 10 years of experience and He is also interested in helping facilities develop a Neuro Hospitalist model where the inpatient care can develop independently from the outpatient services.

Dr Amar Elsaddig is a consultant neurologist with a special interest in neuromuscular disorders, particularly peripheral nerve disorders. He is graduate of university of Khartoum, Sudan. A Masters degree holder from University College London in Clinical and experimental medicine. He completed post graduate medical training in England with experience spanning 13 years. He obtained CCT in Neurology in 2022 from Northwest medical deanery. He is the first neurologist in UK to complete post CCT neuromuscular fellowship at National hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery where he had super specialised training in complex acquired and hereditary peripheral nerve disorders. He practiced as a consultant neurologist in Manchester centre for clinical neuroscience for last 2 years before joining STMC in late September 2025.

Dr. Hina Naz Abbasi is a consultant Neurologist/Epileptologist, trained in the United Kingdom.

Dr Jawad Fazal is consultant Neurologist currently working in Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Medical City, Al Ain. He completed his Neurology training in West Midlands, United Kingdom. In addition to obtaining CCT UK in Neurology, he has a fellowship in Stroke and holds General Medical Council UK subspecialty certification in Stroke Medicine. Before moving to the UAE, he was a full-time practicing consultant in one of the largest teaching hospitals in Birmingham. He is also Member of Royal College of Physicians London (MRCP London) and Fellow of Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh (FRCP Edin). In addition, he is a current member of the Association of British Neurologists, European Stroke Organization and World Stroke Organization. 

Prof. Jihad Inshasi is a Consultant Neurologist at Rashid Hospital, Dubai Academic Health Corporation (DAHC), and a Professor of Neurology at Dubai Medical College (DMCG). He developed and currently directs the Multiple Sclerosis and the Dystonia Clinics at Rashid Hospital/DAHC

Prof. Inshasi is the Head of the Scientific Committee and a Founding and Board Member of the Emirates Neurology Society (EMINS/EMA). With the EMINS Board Members, he has organized numerous neurology meetings, particularly in the field of multiple sclerosis. He is founding and executive board member of the MENACTRIMS. He is also a Founding Member, and ex-President of the Emirates League against Epilepsy (ILAE). He is a member of the medical advisory committee of the recently established National MS Society (NMSS).

Prof. Inshasi is a member of several local, regional, and international associations, societies and advisory boards committees. He is a member and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN) and a member and Fellow of the European Academy of neurology (FEAN)

Prof. Inshasi has authored and co-authored many scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He has participated as principle and leading investigator in phase 2, 3 & 4 drug trials and has conducted an array of research projects in the field of multiple sclerosis.

Dr Khalid Anwar joined Salma Rehabilitation Hospital in October 2024 and assumed responsibility as Acting Director of Medical Affairs at STMC Rehabilitation Hospital, Al Ain in April 2025.
Dr Khalid Anwar has worked in UAE since April 2015 when he joined Amana Healthcare as a Clinical lead and Consultant in Rehabilitation medicine. Dr Khalid led the rehabilitation services in Amana Healthcare with distinction by making Amana Healthcare as a leading rehabilitation facility in UAE. Under his clinical leadership Amana Healthcare became the first rehabilitation facility in UAE to achieve CARF accreditation for post acute rehabilitation program, Stroke rehabilitation and Amputee rehabilitation.
Prior to joining Amana Healthcare, Dr Anwar worked as Clinical Lead and Consultant in Neurorehabilitation at James Cook University hospital, Middlesbrough in UK from 2007 to 2015. It is a major trauma center and center of excellence for Neuroscience. Dr Anwar was instrumental in setting up an inpatient Neurorehabilitation Unit and also supervised Regional limb center and Regional Wheelchair services. 
Dr Anwar served on the Executive Committee of British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine (BSRM) from 2011-2014 and also sat on the education committee during this time and played an important part nationally in advancing the specialty of Rehabilitation Medicine in the UK.
Dr Anwar brings wealth of clinical, academic and management experience to SEHA. He is the Acting Director of Medical affairs at STMC Rehabilitation hospital Al Ain and also provides clinical care and leadership at Salma Rehabilitation Hospital Abu Dhabi. His responsibilities include clinical management of patients, organization and planning of rehabilitation programs, leading service expansion, quality improvement, teaching and training activities. 
Dr Anwar has presented at various National and International Rehabilitation and Neurology conferences. His specialist interests include Traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, Stroke rehabilitation, Amputee rehabilitation and Spasticity management including botulinum toxin therapy. He has published extensively and has authored several book chapters.

Dr. Mohamed Elsharkawy is a consultant interventional neuroradiologist in Sh. Tahnoon medical city with over 15 years of experience in Germany. He specializes in treating complex neurovascular conditions, including acute stroke, aneurysms, dural arteriovenous fistulas (dAVF), and arteriovenous malformations (AVM). Dr. Elsharkawy holds German board certifications in radiology and neuroradiology, as well as interventional neuroradiology certification from the German Society of IR/Neuro-IR. He earned his M.D. from the Medical School of Hannover. His last consultant position in Germany was at the renowned Alfried Krupp Hospital, home to one of Europe’s largest neurocenters.

Dr. Mohammed Alkuwaiti is an Assistant Professor and Consultant Vascular Neurologist at the Department of Internal medicine in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at United Arab Emirates University. His clinical practice is based at the STMC hospital, the regional stroke center of Alain city in UAE. Following completion of his medical school training at UAE University he travelled to Montreal, Canada where he completed Adult Neurology residency training at McGill University (2016). He later also completed Acute stroke clinical training (2017) and Stroke-Net Fellowships (2018) at the University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis, United States. Dr. Alkuwaiti is an active member in local stroke committees, including the Department of Health stroke committee and at SEHA Stroke Task force committee. He Chairs the National Institute of Health Subspeciality (Emirates board) Neurology Committee. He is interested in secondary prevention and acute Stroke research. He is currently working on Stroke related projects in collaboration with UAE University and Sheikh Khalifa Stroke Institute.

Dr. Mustafa Shakra is a Consultant Neurologist based at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Specializing in inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the central nervous system, he oversees the Multiple Sclerosis clinics at SKMC. 

Dr. Shakra obtained his medical degree from Damascus University in 1992 and completed comprehensive training in general internal medicine and neurology subspecialty at major university hospitals. His extensive qualifications include an MD, MSc, MRCP, and FRCP in medicine and neurology. Prof. Naji Riachi recently joined Burjeel Medical City as Consultant Neurologist and Khalifa University College of Medicine as Clerkship Director of Neurology and Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs. Dr. Riachi was previously Tenured Full Professor and Chair of Department of Neurology at the Lebanese American University and Assistant Dean for Clinical Research at LAU School of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon.

After a 4 years Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, he completed his Residency in Neurology at the University Hospitals of Cleveland, then a two-year Fellowship in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology at the Cleveland Clinics Foundation. Dr. Taleb Almansoori is a graduate of the College of Medicine and Health Science at the United Arab Emirates University. After graduation, he completed five years of postgraduate medical training at McGill University, Montreal – Canada culminating in board certification in Diagnostic Radiology, followed by completion of a subspecialty training in Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at Ottawa University, Ottawa – Canada. Given his academic post as an Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences of the United Arab Emirates University, Dr. Almansoori is heavily involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and participated in many regional and international meetings. Dr. Almansoori served in multiple roles within the scope of imaging services and provided radiological subject matter expertise for different organizations across the United Arab Emirates. He has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and a book entitled Advanced Neuroradiology Cases: Challenge Your Knowledge. He has given multiple invited lectures at regional and international meetings on neuroradiology and stroke management. Currently, Dr. Almansoori is the Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at the College of Medicine and Health Science. Additionally, he is the Vice President of the Emirates Radiology Society and a Board member of the MENA Stroke Organization.

Dr. Tariq Alafifi is a consultant neurologist sub-specialized in vascular neurology and an assistant professor at UAEU.<br><br>
Dr. Tariq has more than 25 years of experience in various posts across the UAE and abroad, including medical military missions with NATO/GCC/UAE army before retiring as a Colonel. 
In addition to his practice at Mediclinic AlAin, he also worked in Zayed Military Hospital as head of neurology (2009-2018) and in affiliated hospital with several governmental hospitals across the UAE as a Neuro-strokologist. He was also a member of the teaching programme in Zayed Military Hospital for Arab board residents.

Dr. Tiago Moreira (Lisbon, Portugal, 1975) is currently Head of Stroke Service at the Neuroscience Department of SEHA – STMC Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Medical City, Al Ain, UAE. He is Associate Professor of Neurology and former Head of Section of Neurology at the Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden. He graduated from the Medical Faculty at the University of Lisbon in 1999 and completed a PhD in Neuroscience at the Karolinska Institutet in 2006. As a neurology resident, he received advanced training in cerebrovascular diseases at the Lausanne University Hospital CHUV, Switzerland. He is also Research Executive at the SITS International Stroke Registry.

Miklós Szólics, MD, PhD, EDiNR, is a Hungarian board-certified Neurologist, Radiologist, and Neuroradiologist who is serving as a Consultant Neurologist at Tawam and STMC Hospitals, Division of Neurology, Department of Neuroscience, and Clinical Full Professor at the Department of Medicine, CMHS, UAEU.

Dr. M.Szólics has been practicing clinical Neurology for more than 40 years. As a consultant neurologist at Tawam Hospital, he has served the Al Ain community for over 23 years. For another 20 years, he practiced in the former USSR, Ukraine, Hungary, and the Caribbean Dutch territories.

He was the Chief of the Neurology Division at Tawam Hospital from 2007 to 2021 and is the lead physician for the MS clinic.

His main professional interests include Neurovascular neurology, Epilepsy, MS, and Neuroimmunology, Neuro-Electrophysiology, Diagnostic Neuroimaging, and Medical Education

Dr. Alrukn received his degree in medicine from UAE university. He underwent his neurology residency at the University of McGill, and subsequently obtain the neurology certification from the Royal Collage of Physicians & Surgeon (Canada). He then completed a fellowship in 
Cerebrovascular disease and Stroke at Montreal General Hospital, Canada. he currently serves as a head of Stroke Center at Rashid Hospital, Dubai. 
Dr. Alrukn’ s field of interest are principally directed towards the acute stroke management, stroke unit establishing and post stroke rehabilitation. He established the 1st certified stroke unit in UAE. Dr. Al rukn is a local and international speakers in stroke field, and had many publications in this area. Currently he is the President of MENA Stroke Organization. 
In 2019, Dr. Alrukn became the President of World Congress of Neurology, and is the currently the President of  Emirates Neurology Society. 
Dr. Alrukn is the Founder and the chairman of the Neurology Residency Program in Dubai, since 2013. Also, he is the Chairman of the Dubai Scientific & Research Ethical Committee.
Dr. Alrukn has an interest in Headache management & Movement disorders, and he is running  the movement disorder clinic at Rashid hospital. He currently sits on the executive boards of various scientific associations, steering committee and advisory boards, mainly in stroke & headache. 

Mrs. Elkhamidi hold master’s degree in nursing education from Jordan university, had a Postgraduate Diploma of Diabetes Education from Malmo university.
