2nd Abu Dhabi Brain Conference ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS NOW OPEN!

Abstract submissions are welcome for consideration for the 2nd Abu Dhabi Brain Conference, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE from 16-18 September 2022.

We are aiming for high-quality fundamental scientific, translational, or clinical research on all areas of neurological illnesses. Original contributions are appreciated, however work offering an overview of a certain topic will be considered. We also accept early data from ongoing research, theoretical work, and publications on innovative theories. The primary assessment criteria are the quality of the study, the topic’s relevance to our audience, and the influence on the field.

PRESENTATION TYPE AND GUIDE

An abstract can be submitted for presentation at the Conference as one of the following categories:

  • Oral Presentation
  • Poster Presentation

At the review stage, the Programme Committee may change the presentation type submitted by the author to ensure the continuity of the conference programme i.e. oral presentation may be changed to poster presentation OR poster presentation to oral presentation. The presenting Author will be informed of any change to their submitted presentation type at the acceptance notification stage. The decision of the programme committee is final.

 

ORAL PRESENTATION & DIGITAL POSTER FORMAT

Oral Presentation & Digital Poster Format:

Oral presentations are very short talks introducing amazing research which can be discussed in more detail at the poster. Thus, oral presenters will also be required to produce a poster for display at the conference.

Poster Format:

Accepted posters will be asked to produce a poster for display at the conference. Presenters are asked to take note of the following guidelines when producing their poster:

  • Digital Poster (Artwork) should be in 16:9 Ratio in portrait submitted as one piece.
  • Digital Poster Orientation: Landscape format. (Other sizes or dimensions will not be accepted)
  • Digital Poster Format: JPEG or PDF
  • The poster format should include Introduction, Objectives, Material and Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
  • Poster Title: 30 font size in Arial Black – Body Text: 25 font size in Arial with single spacing.
  • Do not use all UPPER-CASE characters in your posters.
  • The images (clips arts, graphs, diagrams, and drawings) must be in high-resolution EPS format (300 dpi).
  • Language must be in English

Removal and collection of posters at the end of the display period remains the responsibility of the presenter. Posters not removed by the indicated take down time will be removed and disposed of.

REVIEW AND NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
All abstracts will go through a peer-review carried out by reviewers selected by the 2nd Abu Dhabi Brain Conference Committee. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the submitter by August 20, 2022.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • The abstract submission deadline will be on 18 July 2022.
  • The abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • It is the responsibility of the presenting author to submit the abstract. They are the main contact whose responsibility it is to communicate with other co-authors.
  • The presenting author is available to present at the conference between 16 September – 18 September 2022.
  • The presenting author must register and pay in full by the deadline indicated in the abstract review outcome email. If they do not register and pay in full, the abstract will be removed from the programme and any associated publications.
  • All accepted abstracts will be published onsite and may appear in the conference website and/or other conference related materials, and this will not raise any copyright issues.
  • A submission as a particular presentation type or theme may be changed to a different type following review in order to be accepted and included in the programme.
  • Presenters may be recorded for live streaming. A recording of the presentation and a copy of the slides may be published online after the conference.
